UNOVE Deep Damage Treatment EX | The Powerpuff Girls Special Edition

When it comes to skincare,
I already have quite a few products
that I use regularly.

And honestly,
it’s not always easy to show
a dramatic before-and-after difference
with skincare products.

But there is one hair product
I’ve been using for years!

It’s the
UNOVE Deep Damage Treatment EX.

I haven’t tried
a huge number of different treatments,

but when I think about
the scent, how it feels to use,
and the price,

this is probably the one
I’ve been the most satisfied with.

So I just keep repurchasing it.

I was almost out
of my current treatment,

and September 5 was
the last day of the Olive Young sale.

So while I was checking
what else I needed,

I ended up ordering
another UNOVE treatment.

But this time,

UNOVE had released
a collaboration with
The Powerpuff Girls???

(I wish they would do
a Chiikawa collaboration instead…)

Anyway.

I didn’t actually buy this
because of The Powerpuff Girls.

You know those little tools
that help squeeze toothpaste
all the way to the end?

This set came with
a tube squeezer designed
specifically for UNOVE treatments.

And honestly,
that was what I wanted. Haha.

The package features
The Powerpuff Girls characters.

And then there’s
the part I was most curious about.

The squeezer!

I actually like blue,
yellow, and green,

so technically,
I would’ve been fine
with any of the colors.

But deep down…

I might have been hoping
for the pink one.

UNOVE’s packaging is pink,

so obviously
the pink one would match
the best…

I’m not even a huge
Powerpuff Girls fan,

but I really wanted
that squeezer. Haha.

The back looks pretty much
the same as the regular version.

It just has the usual
product information
and benefits listed on it.

Oh!

There was one more reason
I liked this set.

My favorite scent
from UNOVE is

Tender Bloom,

and this set came with
two Tender Bloom products.

I was very happy about that!!

I’ve tried some of
UNOVE’s other scents,

but personally,
I still prefer Tender Bloom.

I also tried
the limited-edition
cherry blossom scent
that came out this spring,

but that one was
just okay for me too.

Of course,
fragrance is completely
a matter of personal preference. Haha.

Once you take it out,

The Powerpuff Girls
are right there!

One thing I think
UNOVE did really well

was not using
the characters’
original bright colors.

Instead,

they adjusted the whole design
to match UNOVE’s color palette.

Because of that,

the characters don’t feel
out of place on the packaging,

and the collaboration
actually looks pretty cohesive.

If they had used
the original Powerpuff Girls colors,

I think it might have looked
a little too loud.

The back of the product
is basically identical
to the regular version.

The character design
is only on the front.

Now…

Which squeezer
did I get…?

So why am I
not happy…?

Buttercup…

It’s not that
I don’t like you…

But I really feel like
this should’ve been pink….

If you look closely,

there’s really
not much to it!

It’s just a squeezer.

The packaging inside
is also very simple.

At least the squeezer
isn’t completely plain.

It has a subtle
checkered pattern,

which I think
looks pretty nice.

You can also see
the UNOVE logo on it.

I didn’t want to attach it
to a brand-new tube yet,

so I brought out
the treatment
I’m currently using.

There’s still
more than half left,

and there’s quite a bit
of air inside the tube,

so it looks
a little puffed up. Haha.

Since the squeezer
was made specifically
for UNOVE,

the size fits
the treatment tube
perfectly.

With large tube products
like this,

the product tends to get
stuck in different areas
as you use it,

and squeezing everything
toward the bottom
can get annoying.

With this attached,

I can just slide it down
little by little,

so it seems
pretty convenient to use.

The only thing
I’d be careful about

is keeping it clean
if you store it
in the bathroom.

Water can get trapped
around the squeezer,

so I’ll probably
need to wipe it down
once in a while.

Now that I actually
see it attached…

Yeah.

I still think
the pink one
would’ve looked better….

But it’s random,
so what can I do!

Buying another set
just for a different squeezer
would be ridiculous. Haha.

And I’m not
that obsessed with
The Powerpuff Girls anyway…

If this had been
a Chiikawa collaboration though…

I might have kept trying
until I got Usagi. Haha!!!

If you already use
UNOVE treatments regularly,

I think this special edition
is a pretty fun option

since you also get
the matching tube squeezer.

For me,

the squeezer was definitely
the main reason
I bought it.
