After getting my AirPods Max 2…

I originally said
I would only use them at home.

But even at home,
I still couldn’t completely relax.

My previous headphones
were mostly made of plastic,

so even if they got scratched,
I honestly didn’t care that much.

But the AirPods Max
has aluminum ear cups.

If those get scratched,
I already know
it would bother me every time I looked at them.

So even though
I only use them at home,

I decided I still needed
a protective case.

And luckily,
I received one
as a birthday gift.

Why I Wanted a Case for My AirPods Max

My AirPods Max 2
is the Midnight color.

So far,
I’ve managed to keep it
completely scratch-free.

I also don’t find

not Starlight,

so I wasn’t sure
the Pancake version
would match as well.

The Pancake design
also uses a harder
plastic-like material,

while the Melon Bread Clover
has a softer,
slightly flexible feel.

That was another reason
I ended up choosing this one.

Sold Individually, Not as a Pair

One of the most interesting things

Even Cuter in Person

Once I took it
out of the packaging,

I thought it looked
even cuter in person.

The melon bread design
combined with
the small clover detail

makes it feel
more like a decorative accessory

than just
a protective case.

I still think
it would probably look
even cuter
on a lighter AirPods Max color
like Starlight,

but I actually like
how it looks
on Midnight too.

How It Looks on Midnight

When you attach
the Melon Bread Clover case
to the Midnight AirPods Max,

the contrast is pretty noticeable.

The ear cups are dark,

while the case
uses a much lighter color,

so the design
stands out clearly.

At first,
I wasn’t sure
whether the combination
would work,

but after putting it on,
I was satisfied
with how it looked.

It Does Add a Little Weight

There is,
of course,
one downside.

The AirPods Max
is already
not a lightweight pair
of headphones.

Adding cases
to both ear cups

naturally makes it
a little heavier.

So I bought these
to protect my AirPods Max
from scratches,

and somehow ended up
making an already heavy headset
even heavier.

Still,
I mainly use it at home,

and I care more
about protecting the ear cups
and enjoying the design.

So for me,
the extra weight
isn’t a major problem.

And most importantly…

it’s cute.

Even if I’m the only person
at home who sees it.

Still Fits in the Smart Case

One thing
I was especially curious about

was whether the AirPods Max
would still fit
inside the original Smart Case

with the Hukahuka Studio cases attached.

Fortunately,
it does.

I can keep
the ear cup covers installed

and still put
the AirPods Max
into the Smart Case.

So there’s no need
to remove the covers
every time
you want to store the headphones.

If you plan
to keep protective covers
on your AirPods Max permanently,

this is definitely
an important detail.

After using
the Hukahuka Studio
Melon Bread Clover case,

I think it’s a good option

What I especially liked:

The main downside
