all the birthday gifts
I’ve received recently,

I like a lot of different characters,

but one character
I’ve liked since high school
is Bbangbbangi.

Bbangbbangi was already popular back then,

and now
the character seems
even more popular than before.

I also think
the newer drawing style
looks even cuter.

Then I happened to find
this Bbangbbangi Good Luck Charm.

Honestly,
I didn’t exactly need it.

I just thought
Bbangbbangi hanging there
with a crying face
looked way too cute.

So I added it
to my wishlist,

and one of my friends
gave it to me
as a birthday gift.

It’s technically

but rather than looking traditional,

it feels more like

there’s a crying Bbangbbangi
inside.

Even the inner packaging
is shaped around
Bbangbbangi’s body,

which makes the whole presentation
feel more carefully designed.

Personally,
I think the crying expression
is what makes it
even cuter.

Instead of the dried pollock
that is traditionally used
for this type of Korean charm,

Bbangbbangi is hanging there instead.

at first,

Why Bbangbbangi Became a Protective Charm

The story on the card
is very Bbangbbangi-like.

Basically,

Bbangbbangi looks
so pitiful hanging there
that even bad luck
feels sorry for him
and turns around.

It’s such a ridiculous concept,

but that’s also
what makes it funny.

The product itself is cute,

but adding a little story
around the character
makes it feel
much more complete
than just hanging
a random doll.

It’s a small detail,

surprisingly well.

Displaying It With My Bbangbbangi Plant Kit

I mentioned
that I like Bbangbbangi,

and I actually received
a Bbangbbangi plant kit
as a gift before.

Unfortunately…

the plant did not survive.

But the Bbangbbangi decoration
is still there.

So now I display it
next to this
Good Luck Charm Bbangbbangi.

One is smiling,

and one is crying.

They look even cuter
next to each other.

If you already collect

this charm also works well
as part of a character display.

Where I Hung Mine

A protective charm
would normally make sense
near the front door.

But personally,

I didn’t really want
to hang a character item
on the entrance
of my home.

My bedroom door
is also made of wood,

wouldn’t work there anyway.

Instead,

I attached it
to the metal clothing rack
inside my room.

And now,
when I’m sitting
at my computer

and look over,

hanging there

It still makes me laugh.

I still have

and honestly,

I think the best way
